Practices and Values


1. Mission

Acta Physica Polonica B is a scientific journal committed to advancing physics. It publishes important developments in the rapidly evolving areas of general and mathematical physics, particle physics and field theory, nuclear physics, theory of relativity and astrophysics and statistical physics.

2. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Acta Physica Polonica B recognizes all aspects of diversity including nationality and country of origin, language, gender, sexual orientation, and religion. As a part of the Jagiellonian University, we are guided by the values and academic code set out in the University Statute (PL).

In particular, we follow the gender equality plan in force at the Jagiellonian University.

3. Environmental Sustainability

As members of the Jagiellonian University community and the scientific community in general we recognize that the sustainable development, nature conservation and climate change mitigation are the most urgent challenges of the 21st century. In this respect we follow Resolution 57/IV/2024 of the university Senate on the climate and environmental strategy of the Jagiellonian University until 2030.

4. Data Privacy

All personal data are processed by Acta Physica Polonica B in accordance with general European Union regulations and their implementation in Polish legislation (PL) with subsequent amendments (PL). We adhere to the University policies as described in internal documents.

5. Financial Transparency

As a part of the Jagiellonian University Acta Physica Polonica follows EU and Polish legislations concerning finances and property, and the University internal regulations as described in the University Statue, Section VIII Property and financial management (PL).

6. Archiving Policy

The complete collection of articles published in Acta Physica Polonica B is archived on the journal's servers and remains permanently accessible under the Open Access publishing model.

In addition, printed issues of Acta Physica Polonica B are preserved through the Polish legal deposit system. Mandatory copies are deposited with the National Library of Poland and the Jagiellonian Library in accordance with applicable regulations. Electronic versions are also deposited with the National Library of Poland and preserved within the POLONA digital library infrastructure for long-term archiving.

7. Repository Policy

The journal permits the unrestricted deposit of all versions of a manuscript, including preprints, accepted manuscripts, and published articles, in institutional and subject-specific repositories. Authors are encouraged to deposit their manuscripts in arXiv prior to submitting them to Acta Physica Polonica B.
