The spin and parity content of the double Regge amplitude for the reaction \(K^+p\to K^{*0}\pi ^+p\) at 7.3 GeV/\(c\) of Chien et al. is determined in the \(Q\) region. Only at the lower end of the \(Q\) band does the \(S\) wave dominate, so giving \(J^P = 1^+\) at the upper end of the \(Q\) band many partial waves contribute with comparable strength. In the region where the \(S\) wave dominates the amplitude is predominantly real. Therefore, no resonance interpretation via duality is possible.

It is shown that class (a) relations following from the additive quark model for the reaction \(0^-\ \frac {1}{2} ^+\to 1^-\ { {\frac {3}{2}}}^+\) are not independent because some of the joint statistical tensors satisfy bilinear kinematical relations.

The assumption of equal phases for all the helicity amplitudes is implicit in many models. Supplementing it by the class (a) relations predicted by the quark model we find that the 19 parameters necessary to describe the decay distribution in the process \(0^-\ \frac {1}{2} ^+\to 1^-\ { {\frac {3}{2}}}^+\) depend on four independent parameters only. Since the quark model predictions are well supported by experiment, we interpret our result as a test for the assumption of equal phases for the helicity amplitudes. The test is used to analyse the available experimental data.

Double statistical tensors for resonances produced by polarized photons are presented. The joint decay distribution in double resonance production is expressed in terms of four double statistical tensors \(^{(\alpha )}T,\alpha =0,1,2,3\). The tensor \(^{(0)}T\) describes the process induced by unpolarized photons, while the tensors \(^{(i)}T,i=1,2,3\) correspond to the processes induced by linearly or circularly polarized photons. The quark model predictions for the decay distributions of resonances photoproduced in the reaction \(\gamma B \to VB^*\) are rewritten in terms of four statistical tensors\(^{(\alpha )}T, \alpha =0,1,2,3\).

The ratio of the two amplitudes describing completely each of the transitions \(^{19}\)F(g.s.,\(\frac {1}{2} ^+) {\mu \atop \to } ^{19}\)O\((\frac {1}{2} ^+)_{1,2}\) is studied. For the three transitions \(^{19}\)F(g.s.,\(\frac {1}{2} ^+) {\mu \atop \to } ^{19}\)O\(( {\frac {3}{2}^+)}_{1,2,3}\) the gamma-neutrino directional correlation and circular polarization of nuclear gamma rays are calculated. All calculations were performed in shell model intermediate coupling with configuration mixing.

The problem of obtaining the maximal analytic extension of the solution of Einstein field equations is investigated. We propose a method of finding the maximal analytic extensions by imbedding the corresponding manifolds into a pseudoeuclidea.n spaces. The method is demonstrated for the Schwarzschild-like, Reissner–Nordström and Kerr solutions. All extensions which we obtain are maximal. We believe that the simplicity of the method will make it useful in physical applications.

It is shown that there exists on the light cone an affine connection which is metric, semisymmetric and totally integrable. The connection is used to displace parallel polarization vectors of the photon; a new gauge for the electromagnetic field is thus introduced and the commutator of two potentials in the new gauge is calculated. The commutator is invariant with respect to the four-parameter group which leaves invariant a fixed null direction.

The inertial mass parameter \(B\) for collective oscillations of the quadrupole types is calculated. The quadrupole forces are taken in the form \({Q}=F(r)Y_{20}({Q})\), where \(F(r)\) assumes three different functional forms. Numerical calculations are performed in the Rare-Earth region.

In the present paper the asymmetry of the angular distribution of secondary particles in 60 6eV \(\pi ^-\)–\(p\) interactions is investigated. In particular, the influence of the use of the ultrarelativistic transformation on the obtained value of the asymmetry parameters of angular distribution is estimated. The angular distributions of secondary particles in \(\pi ^-\)–\(p\) interactions with primary energies 16 GeV and 60 GeV are compared. A simple approximate method of transformation of the angular distribution from the lab-system to the CM-system in the case of unknown masses and energies of produced particles is presented. The method is tested on 16 GeV \(\pi ^-\)–\(p\) and 67 GeV \(p\)–\(p\) data.

Theoretical studies on many-particle inclusive cross-sections and correlations in hadronic collision are reviewed. General properties of cross-sections and correlations, fluid analogy, kinematical constraints (sum rules), coexistence of two mechanisms, and asymptotic predictions of correlations in various models are discussed. These contents are summaries, paraphrases or illustrations of already known results, except the statement 2 at the end of Section 8 and the simple derivation of sum rules in Section 9, which are so far not found, to my knowledge, in the existing literature or circulated preprints.)

The paper describes some aspects of the early evolution stage of cosmological models based on Yilmaz’ theory of gravitation extended by Tupper. A possibility of another interpretation of Tupper’s extension is also mentioned. Inspection of the obtained equations shows that at radiation era singular solutions cannot exist (this result is completely independent of the cosmical constant and of space-curvature). It seems to be connected with breaking of the energetic condition of the theorems concerning the singularity in cosmology.
